On 31 December every rooftop in Bangkok sells the night as a package, and the best ones put a fireworks display right in front of you. Here are our nine picks for New Year's Eve 2026, from the 59th floor above the CentralWorld countdown to a family-run terrace on the river, with what each one costs this year and how to book it.

A rooftop is the best seat in Bangkok at midnight on 31 December: the fireworks at eye level, a table, and no crowd pushing behind you. 1. Centara Grand at CentralWorld: Nine Ways Above the Countdown

Centara Grand at CentralWorld stands right over the CentralWorld countdown, so the midnight fireworks go off beside the tower, and the hotel sells its whole New Year’s Eve across nine venues from the 23rd floor to the 59th.

The countdowns: Red Sky Bar’s standing countdown on the 56th floor at ฿4,900 net, CRU at the very top on the 59th at ฿14,955++, COCOA XO on the 57th from ฿9,599++, Tea & Tipple’s balcony at ฿4,999++ and the open-air Lotus Garden at ฿3,955 net.

The dinners: the eight-course terrace dinner at Red Sky at ฿19,555++, the indoor set menu at Red Sky at ฿9,555++, the surf and turf at UNO MAS on the 54th at ฿11,999++ and the Ventisi buffet at ฿3,955++, with children aged 6 to 11 at ฿999++.

2. Aether, Silom: Fireworks on Every Side

Aether sits on the 44th floor of Central Park Offices in Silom, with the skyline on all four sides and nothing above it. At midnight Bangkok’s fireworks go off in several directions at once, and from this deck you turn around to see them all.

Four DJs play the deck from 9 PM, through the countdown and into 2027. Tickets start at ฿4,500 plus booking fees for the early bird, and tables seat four to ten. The night is for guests aged 20 and over.

3. Spire Rooftop Bar, Dusit Thani: The New Classic

Spire is the rooftop of the new Dusit Thani Bangkok, 39 floors up at the corner of Silom and Rama IV, under the hotel’s golden spire and above Lumphini Park. Aether’s tower is its neighbour in the same Dusit Central Park.

The hotel’s countdown, “Welcome the New Year from the Rooftop”, is a standing celebration from 9 PM with canapés: ฿8,500++ per person, or ฿7,800++ for Dusit Gold members who book before 16 December. A seat costs ฿1,000 more per person. Spire admits guests under 20 only until 7 PM, so the countdown is for adults.

4. Sato San, Moxy Ratchaprasong: The Party Pick

Sato San is the playful one: Thai-Isaan meets Tokyo on the 32nd floor of the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, on Ratchadamri Road between CentralWorld and Pratunam.

Its “Rooftop Countdown Above Bangkok” comes with a seafood spread and carving stations, live jazz, dancers and DJs, and the fireworks over Ratchaprasong. Packages start at ฿9,500++ per person, with all-night and VIP packages above that. Guests must be 20 or over.

5. Moxy Bar & Restaurant: The Family Pick

Twenty-three floors below Sato San, the Moxy’s 9th-floor terrace is where families go. Last year it opened to children with their own prices and a front-row view of the CentralWorld fireworks.

This year’s dinner is ฿6,000++ per adult, and children aged 6 and under dine free. There are buffet stations with seafood, a barbecue and desserts, a live band, a DJ, a photo booth and games. More family options in New Year’s Eve with Children.

6. View Rooftop, Novotel Platinum Pratunam: Fireworks Up Close

The CentralWorld fireworks go up just in front of the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, and View Rooftop, its 9th-floor terrace, watches them close up with the skyline lit behind.

“Countdown to 2027 on the rooftop” runs from 9 PM to 1 AM with DJ sets and live performances. The prices are to be announced, and we add them here as soon as the hotel publishes them.

7. Three Sixty, Millennium Hilton: The River Pick

The river’s big midnight display is at ICONSIAM, on the Thonburi bank. Three Sixty, the circular glass-domed bar and jazz lounge on the 31st and 32nd floors of the Millennium Hilton on the same bank, faces it over the river.

The hotel had not published its 2026 countdown when we last checked. We add it here the day it goes on sale. In the meantime, the other river rooftops and the countdown cruises are the ways to watch the ICONSIAM fireworks.

8. River Vibe, Talat Noi: The Hidden One

River Vibe is the rooftop you have to find: the lift of the River View Residence, at the end of a Talat Noi alley in Chinatown, to the 8th floor. Its open-air balconies look straight down the Dragon’s Belly bend of the river towards ICONSIAM.

9. Pastel, Sukhumvit Soi 11: The Gatsby Night

Pastel, on the 22nd floor of the Aira Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11, turns New Year’s Eve into a Gatsby night under its hand-painted dome.

There is an early dinner at ฿8,900++, a later dinner at ฿9,900++, party tables at ฿5,000++ minimum spend per guest and countdown tickets from ฿3,500. Reserve Pastel for New Year’s Eve.

How to Choose Your Rooftop

• For the CentralWorld countdown: Centara Grand, View Rooftop and the Moxy (Sato San and its 9th floor). All three are within walking distance of each other in Ratchaprasong.
• For the river and ICONSIAM: Three Sixty and River Vibe, or a countdown cruise on the water.
• For the skyline all around: Aether and Spire, side by side in Silom.
• On a budget: Pastel’s countdown and the Lotus Garden at Centara Grand both come in under ฿4,000.
• With children: a dinner, not a party. Moxy’s 9th floor and Centara’s Ventisi and Red Sky dinners take families; see New Year’s Eve with Children.
