Fifty-five floors up, the lift doors open and the city just unrolls beneath you. Red Sky Bar & Restaurant sits on top of Centara Grand at CentralWorld, in the thick of Ratchaprasong, and the trick here is that it does two things at once. There’s the bar, and there’s the restaurant. You can treat it as a quick stop or a whole evening, and Red Sky doesn’t make you choose.

Come early. The doors open at 4 PM, and the smart move is to be up here before the light goes. Bangkok at golden hour does something to this skyline, and from 55 floors the 360° sweep is the whole point. Watch the towers switch on one by one as the sun drops. The illuminated arch overhead turns the place a different colour as the night settles in, and the crowd shifts with it.

Prices start around ฿490, which for a perch this high is fair. A few things worth knowing. Book a table if dinner is the plan, especially at weekends when sunset seats vanish fast. Red Sky runs until 1 AM, so there’s no rush to move on. But Ratchaprasong is dense with options if you want to keep climbing.
