Three Decks and an Open Top

White Orchid has three decks: two air-conditioned dining decks and an open-air top deck with a 360-degree view of the river, the place for photos.

Seating is general admission: you dine at the tables, then move around the boat as you like.

Dinner and the Shows

The buffet mixes Thai and Western dishes, with vegetarian dishes on it, and a welcome drink greets you as you board.

On the night cruise a Thai classical dance comes first; then the band plays, the dance floor fills, and a cabaret show closes the evening.

  • The cabaret performers often pose for photos with guests; a small tip is customary.

The Route

The cruise passes River City, ICONSIAM, the National Museum of Royal Barges, Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, the Rama VIII Bridge and Asiatique.

The route can change with the water level of the river; the operator gives no refund or new date when that happens.

Before You Go

Arrive on time: the cruise leaves with the guests who are there, and a missed boat is not refunded or moved to another date. Evening traffic in Bangkok is slow, so leave early.

  • Not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
  • No luggage or large bags on board.

Where to Board

White Orchid boards at Asiatique The Riverfront: the 7 PM dinner sailing from Pier 1, the 7:45 PM dinner sailing and the 5 PM sunset sailing from Pier 2. The free Asiatique shuttle boat leaves Sathorn Pier (BTS Saphan Taksin, exit 2) every 25 to 30 minutes from 4 PM.

The listing also sells departures from ICONSIAM (Pier 4 for dinner, check-in from 6 PM; Pier 2 for sunset, from 4 PM). The operator runs its ICONSIAM sailings on its sister boat, The Luxury White, so check which boat your ticket names.
