Nobu Bangkok
Rooftop Bar & Restaurant · sathorn · 60F
Come up to the 57th floor and Bangkok stops being a place you live in and becomes something you look down on. Nobu Bangkok plants its globally celebrated Japanese-Peruvian fusion at its highest location yet, spread across two levels on floors 57 and 58, every terrace seat turned out toward the Sathorn skyline. The room does the heavy lifting before a single plate lands: sculptural lines, gold mosaics catching the light, the whole space engineered to make you feel like you’re floating just off the edge of the city.
You know the Nobu formula by now. The menu is built to share. Small plates, bold and precise, the kind of food you order too much of and never regret. Pair it with a cocktail or a chilled glass of Champagne and let the 360-degree views do the rest. Lunch runs 11:30 to 2, then the doors reopen at 5:30 and stay open till midnight, which is the window that matters most.
When to come up
Time it for golden hour. Get a terrace seat before the sun drops and watch the towers go from gold to neon while the city switches on beneath you. It’s the same move that earns a spot on our 7 rooftops for golden hour list, and Nobu rewards the early arrival more than most. Linger into the evening and the second level keeps the energy up long after the dinner crowd thins.
This is a dress-smart kind of place. Not stiff, but not flip-flops either, so check Dress codes, decoded if you’re unsure where the line sits. And book ahead. Walk-ins on a clear-sky weekend are a gamble you’ll lose. When you reserve, ask for the terrace, because the view is the whole point and you’ll want it within arm’s reach, not behind glass.
Drinks from ฿490, which buys you a seat in one of the more polished rooms in the sky here. If you’re building a Sathorn rooftop run, you’re spoiled. Start higher and quieter, then drift to the legendary Vertigo & Moon Bar for that open-edge thrill, or pull up a stool at CRU Champagne Bar when the night wants bubbles. Chase a proper meal afterward at Le Du Kaan. Nobu’s the kind of opener that’s tough to follow.
