For decades, Baiyoke Tower II was the tallest thing in Thailand. The Roof Top Bar sits on its 83rd floor, and the altitude still does the talking.

This is not an open-air terrace. The bar wraps you in floor-to-ceiling windows, 250 metres over Pratunam. The open-air part waits one level up: the 84th-floor Revolving View Point, a slowly turning deck that hands you the full 360 without you moving a muscle. How it works

Entry is bundled, and that is the charm. A ฿450 net ticket covers the 77th-floor observation deck, the revolving deck on 84, and one drink at the bar on 83. As sky-bar economics go in this city, that is hard to argue with.

Know before you go

The bar runs 5 PM to 10 PM, later than the deck’s daytime hours, so time your ticket for sunset and stay for the city lights. The hotel notes hours can shift on long holidays, so check before a special trip.

Down on 77, the observation deck keeps its multimedia kiosks and coin-operated telescopes. It is a time capsule, and that is a compliment.

Set your expectations honestly. This is a retro Bangkok institution, not a fashion-week rooftop. The carpet has stories. You come for the height, the revolving deck and the postcard views, and on those it delivers.

Dress is casual and comfortable. No velvet rope, no playlist politics. It is one of the easiest high-altitude evenings in town, and families on the observation decks are part of the scenery.
