Bangkok Herping

Bangkok Herping (operated by the Toopet team) runs the city’s most original night tour: a 3–4 hour guided expedition through Bangkok’s hidden green spaces, canals, and urban jungle zones, by torchlight, in search of the nocturnal wildlife most visitors never see. Pythons, monitor lizards, vine snakes, geckos, frogs, turtles — and on lucky nights, even cobras.

Tours run several evenings a week with departures around 8:30 PM from the Asok area, returning near midnight. Groups are kept small (max 12 guests, one guide per six people) and led by experienced English- or French-speaking herpetologists, including Chris — a globally known reptile breeder with a particular expertise in king cobras — and Dawn, an American biologist and long-time Thailand resident. All equipment is provided, no special skills are required, and the experience is suitable for adventurous travellers from age 10 upward.
